Monolith announced that Rage of Mages II: Necromancer will hit US retail stores sometime this September. The RPG/strategy game, being developed in Russia, will feature 43 nonlinear branching missions, a new storyline in the Rage of Mages realm, 52 new races, 14 new monsters, and more than 200 new weapons and other battle gear.

Players will also gain new multiplayer arenas for up to 16 players and a new multiplayer map editor. One greatly needed feature will finally come to aid players of the original title - character data now resides on the server to prevent other player from cheating.
