There not yet been any instances of users being hurt by the charger, but PDP says it's received "24 reports of the chargers overheating and deforming the charger's plastic cover, including six reports of chargers emitting a burning odor."

This recall affects roughly 121,000 units distributed in the US since February 2016, along with another 10,000 between Canada and Mexico.

If you own the affected device, PDP recommends you stop using it immediately. Rather than returning it to the store where you purchased it, you should instead contact PDP itself to receive a full refund. You can get more details about doing so here.
