PSA: Last Chance to Get August's Free Xbox Games With Gold Titles

It's August 31, making today the last chance for Xbox Live Gold members to grab most of August's free Games With Gold games on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Of the two Xbox One games, one--Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes--goes back to its regular price after today. The other, How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition, remains free through September 15, giving you two more weeks to claim it.

On Xbox 360, the only current freebie is Metro: Last Light. The first game in the series, Metro 2033, was free only for the first half of August.

Any Xbox 360 games you claim through Games With Gold remain yours forever, while Xbox One games remain playable for as long as you're an Xbox Live Gold member. If you don't have a 360, it's still worth grabbing the games, as they could be made backwards compatible on Xbox One in the future.

September's games will be available beginning tomorrow, September 1. The selection includes The Deer God and Battlestations: Pacific, with Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Crysis 3 coming later in the month.
