2011 PlayStation 3 game Infamous 2 allowed players to create their own levels and missions, but this feature will not carry forward to upcoming PlayStation 4 game Infamous: Second Son.

"[User-generated content] is not a part of this title," Sucker Punch Productions cofounder and Second Son producer Brian Fleming said on the PlayStation Blog. "It was part of Infamous 2, but not a part of Second Son."

Sucker Punch Productions design director Chris Zimmerman said during GDC last year (via Game Informer) that of everyone who played Infamous 2, only 5 percent would publish a level. At the time, Zimmerman concluded that "third-person action adventure might not be the best genre to do user-generated content in."

Also on the PlayStation Blog, Fleming said Sucker Punch Productions has no plans to offer a demo for Second Son prior to the game's launch on March 21. For more on Second Son, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
