PS3 MLB 07 a no-Show till May
Official Web site says Sony's first-party baseball game won't take swings on its new console until second month of MLB season.
Call it the digital equivalent of a rain out. The PlayStation 3 edition of Sony's first-party baseball game, MLB 07: The Show, appears to have been delayed.
The game, which was first expected to be released in early 2007, will now ship in May, according to the official MLB 07: The Show Web site. The game's previous release date was scheduled for April. PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable versions were released in February.
PS3-owning baseball fans aren't completely stranded on the bench. 2K Sports, which owns third-party exclusive rights to MLB-branded games, released a PS3 version of MLB 2K7, the latest in its annual franchise.
Sony was unavailable for comment as of press time.
