PS2 Skies of Arcadia canceled

Sega of Japan axes the PlayStation 2 version of Skies of Arcadia from its upcoming lineup.

Sega of Japan has announced that Skies of Arcadia has been removed from its lineup of upcoming games. The company stated that it would prefer to focus its efforts on the GameCube version of the game. Skies of Arcadia follows the adventures of the air pirate Vyse and his friend Aika as they attempt to discover why the Valua empire is pursuing a mysterious girl and her ship.

An official release date has yet to be announced for the North American release of Skies of Arcadia on the GameCube.

Why sega...atleast give us skies of arcadia 2 for ps3!!! D:

This is even later, but I agree. Why didn't they make this for the PS2 and take advantage of its far larger userbase? If they had done so, it would have sold more and we might have actually gotten a sequel. Yarrrgghhhhhh!!!!
