DreamCatcher Interactive has released a playable demo of Project Earth, its upcoming 3D real-time space strategy game in development at Lemon Interactive. The 106MB demo includes a tutorial, which introduces players to the game's features and controls, and part of the game's single-player campaign.

Project Earth will let players command a group of spaceships sent to colonize a new solar system. Along the way, though, they meet an alien invasion force headed to Earth and must fight to protect their home planet. The game lets players move their units freely through 3D space through a streamlined interface and easily controlled camera views. Players must take into account both short-term tactical options and long-term strategic options to succeed. In addition to the single-player campaign, the game includes a multiplayer mode with support for up to eight players.

Project Earth is being developed at Lemon Interactive and is scheduled for release at the end of April. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game and download the new playable demo linked below.
