Codemasters has revealed more information about Pro Race Driver, its upcoming auto-racing game. The game will use a proprietary dynamic damage engine to accurately simulate car crashes and impacts. The engine is known as the Finite Element Modeling damage engine, and it was developed based on real-life crash data. The engine will accurately simulate the deformation of a car's frame and outer bodywork over the duration of the impact, and it will provide different impact results each time, based on the exact conditions of the collision.

We've posted some new screenshots in the gallery above that show off the game's damage engine in action. Pro Race Driver is scheduled for release in June. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
