Nearly two years after it was first revealed, it appears the Prince of Persia movie is moving forward. Respected underground film-news Web site Dark Horizons is reporting that screenwriter Jeffrey Nachmanoff has signed on to the project, which is being produced by Hollywood uberproducer Jerry Bruckheimer. Besides the 1993 short The Big Gig, Nachmanoff's sole screenwriting credit is the 2004 eco-disaster film The Day After Tomorrow, directed by Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, the 1998 Godzilla remake). No release date for the big-screen adaptation of the Ubisoft action-platformer has been set, and no actors or director have signed on to the project.
