Possible Assassin's Creed Xbox One/PS4/PC artwork appears

Leaked image reportedly of Assassin's Creed Unity comes from video which Ubisoft has since removed on a copyright claim.

A new piece of reported Assassin's Creed Unity artwork has surfaced, showing off a character brandishing various weapons and standing in the middle of historical city street.

The image, which looks like concept art, comes from a YouTube video that has since been removed following a copyright claim from Assassin's Creed publisher Ubisoft. A NeoGAF forum member was able to capture the image before the video vanished.

Ubisoft confirmed Assassin's Creed Unity two weeks ago, slating the game to launch this holiday for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The leaked artwork is visually similar to what we say in the reveal trailer for Assassin's Creed Unity. The publisher has not commented on today's report.

Assassin's Creed Unity in-development screenshots leaked last month, revealing the game's 18th century France location and an unnamed protagonist. A second Assassin's Creed title called Assassin's Creed Comet is reportedly in development for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for release in 2014.

Why do they do that? There supposed "leaks" are intentionally released briefly by the developers themselves to gain hype and then quickly remove it. Don't do that.

I really want a decent AC game with a female protagonist again. Liberation was just the tip of the iceberg. More can be done.

If ubisoft didnt get so greedy with the AC series ppl wouldnt be burned out by it. Did we really need brotherhood and revelations?

Medieval or Victorian London era, perhaps?

Bigger question is, will they finally learn to optimise AC games for High-End PCs? I hope so, I mean after all... they're powered by Abstergo....

hopefully they've added some new features in this one. This franchise is really getting stale. They add minor changes in each one but it's not enough anymore. I was surprised with the naval part of AC4 though. Those are the kinds of big changes they need in this franchise.

Well this could be better because next gen and  is this game set after AC Brotherhood.

I'm way more excited for this than I should be. Blame AC4 in all its swashbuckling glory  :)

Has anyone else been having problems with the AC4 Black Island DLC? Evertime I loot the warehouse, it won't count it as being looted. I tried different things. Even leaving the island and coming back later. Help, please?

A year ago, I was burnt out, experiencing gaming fatigue and disappointment with AC3. AC4 was brilliant, and this new game reminds me a lot of the AC2-era games. That's a good thing.

High hopes for this one. And visually, it looks stunning.

I'm so burned out by this franchise, though I may purchase AC II and Brotherhood when they are on a Steam sale, just so I can relive the glory years of the AC franchise.

@brocklee5000 brotherhood was great, revelations not so much. But yeah they should've given some break to the series, no matter how great it was during that time. But I still play it and still like it :)

@qtmew  Paris, I believe. It seems to be around the French Revolution.

@hanlon23  Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
I found Black Flag was less Assassin-y, yes, but refreshing for precisely that reason. Revelations and 3 were not too good, although 3 actually suffered from gameplay (and glitches), and the fact that the main character wasn't very likeable - I preferred Haytham, tbh.
AT LEAST, that's what I THINK

@merimack  The pirate theme was the only reason that game was any fun. I'm playing through it right now, and I have to say, so many of the missions are recycled (follow this guy, eavesdrop on that conversation) that a part of me doesn't want to finish, but the fact that they have a bunch of other things to do makes me reconsider. If they don't think up something new for this rendition, it's going to be so incredibly boring.

@playstationzone It's set after all of them. The French Revolution started 10-20 years after the American Revolution.

@unreal101 For some reason, every AC games makes me feel like that.  Reason says: More fragments.  More collectibles.  Same game... again.

Rest of brain says "goodygoodygoody."

Go figure.

@MaXiMuS2oo9 The one for 360/PS3 has me worried. It sounds like they're recycling pretty much anything they can to put it together.

It could still be good, but I'm concerned that it'll feel like a replaying of 3.

@19James89    I felt similarly, and wasn't even going to pick up AC4, then a friend who's opinion I trust swayed me. He said AC4 might be the best game in the series, and I should give it a shot.

I'm maybe 75 hours in, and I have to say I agree. This game is so... MASSIVE. Completely worth it after the let down that was AC3.

Couldnt enlighten others and say what was good/changed? Been pondering AC again, but AC2 threw me way off, combat nonexistent and the voices..my god the voices.

@pongley @punishergreenEverytime I try to loot the warehouse, it won't count it as being looted. I got the other treasures on the island though.

@PixelAddict I agree, AC IV is up there with AC II and Brotherhood, but I'm just fed up of playing what is essentially the same game every year with a brand new lick of paint.

There hasn't been any major improvements to the AC game engine and AC combat systems since AC II.

They need to redo it entirely. They swear they change it every year but in the end it always comes down to waiting for the counter or breaking theirs. They should try and eliminate the z-targeting and have something more fluid, something that involves the environment and surrounding objects more. More clever and crafty then flat-out brutality.
