Portal 2 merchandise multiplies at ThinkGeek

Online retailer introduces a test chamber's worth of new swag including Wheatley-styled flashlight, talking Cave Johnson portrait, and potato-powered GLaDOS.

Valve showed it can make gamers care about inanimate objects with the Companion Cube in the original Portal. ThinkGeek is hoping that affection will translate to its own inanimate objects, as the online store has introduced a new swatch of Portal-related merchandise.

Might we suggest using these with copies of "Through the Looking Glass?"

Nine new products have been added to the testing-related lineup. Those with a sweet tooth might be interested in a Companion Cube cookie jar or Portal-themed cookie cutters. More practical offerings include an Aperture Science-branded shower curtain, 4-inch-by-5-inch solid metal bookends, and a Wheatley-styled flashlight.

Another plushie is also being added to the mix with the sound-making plush turret, and Cave Johnson is getting his due in picture form, complete with a JK Simmons voice-over at the push of a button. The final new addition comes in the Portal 2 PotatOS Science Kit allowing anyone to have a real potato-powered GLaDOS on hand.

All products range from $19.99 to $39.99 and are available now via the ThinkGeek website.

@Cwagmire21 Specially considering ThinkGeek public. But count me there too. I like paper books better.

I'd love to have those bookends - since I'm one of the few people left who actually like to own physical books rather than on a tablet. :P

I got the Aperture Thermal Scarf last week on thinkgeek.com (which is pretty damn awesome!). Unfortunately, they were sold out at the steam market but luckily thinkgeek had it. Still, i'm not sure how this made GameSpot News (as do most articles on here).

Everything I have ever bought at this website has broken within a month (electronics only). Everything else they sell is great but don't trust their gadgets. The video watch had German only instruction manual and refused to charge after the third use. Waste of $100.

@NightFox313 If I remember rightly you could get one for about $150, that was quite a few months ago though so the price might have increased when they realised how much some people are willing to pay for that sort of thing.

@XboxGuy1537 I imagine they will take the same amount of time to develop Portal 3 as they have to develop Half Life 3 or Half Life 2: Episode 3 ( noticing a trend? ).

What I really want to see is a Portal 3. If possible, they should take their time.

Gamestop PowerUp Rewards has a neat set of Portal earrings as well. Or they did the other day, anyway. I like Portal, but ThinkGeek seems to only carry 'science-y' stuff.
