Sony is running a promotional video for the fifth game in its RPG series, PoPoLoCrois: Tsuki no Okite no Bouken, at Tokyo Game Show 2003. This video is available in GameSpot's PoPoLoCrois: Tsuki no Okite no Bouken media section.

The characters from the previous PoPoLoCrois game are once again the stars of the show. This time, Pinon and his friends break something called "the code of the moon," which has divided all the fairies in the world between the forest and the sea since ancient times. Our heroes learn that their actions may lead to the end of the world for reasons unexplained in the trailer, so they go off to a journey to save the world. Scenes from the trailer show Marco and Pinon crying in front of statues of their parents, who seem to have been petrified. The trailer also emphasizes that the game will have a lot to do with the sea. In one scene, Pinon and his friends appear on a ship with mates that look like pirates. In another scene, Luna mentions that there seems to be something happening with the ocean.

In terms of graphics wise, the new game seems resemble PoPoLoCrois III. Party members still walk in a line, like in Enix's Dragon Warrior series. However, the new game is said to be much longer than PoPoLoCrois III was. PoPoLoCrois: Tsuki no Okite no Bouken is scheduled for release this winter in Japan. Its retail price has not yet been announced.
