Pope Francis is headed to the US this week, and his forthcoming arrival may mean your new iPhone could be delayed. The Verge reports that UPS, one of the biggest shippers of new iPhones, is alerting customers of possible delays in Washington, DC, New York City, and Philadelphia as a result of the Papal visit.

The Pope begins his US trip tomorrow, September 22, when he arrives in DC. Trips to NYC and Philadelphia are slated for later in the week, before he heads back home to the Vatican on September 27. The new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, meanwhile, are scheduled to become available on September 25.

If you preordered a new iPhone, live in one of these markets, and chose home delivery, you may not get your device on time. Alternatively, Apple announced today that it will sell new iPhones to walk-in customers at stores, but warns that you'll want to get in line early to have a chance to buy one.

The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus were announced earlier this month. One of the biggest new features for the phones is 3D Touch, which Apple is calling the next evolution of multi-touch input.
