Nintendo has announced that Pokemon Black Version 2, Pokemon White Version 2, and Pokemon Dream Radar will launch in Australia and New Zealand for the Nintendo DS and 3DS systems on October 11.
The Pokemon Black Version 2 and Pokemon White Version 2 games bring players back to the Unova region two years after the events of the original games, with new areas including Virbank City, home to Pokestar Studios where players will be able to star in a movie with their Pokemon.
In addition, Nintendo has revealed new information about the Pokemon World Tournament, debuting in Pokemon Black Version 2 and Pokemon White Version 2. The battle arena will allow players to challenge numerous Gym Leaders and Champions from previous Pokemon games, like Lance, Champion from the Johto region, and Volkner, Gym Leader from the Sinnoh region.
Pokemon Dream Radar will also be available for purchase in the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS on October 11. The downloadable 3DS title allows Nintendo 3DS owners to catch Pokemon and transfer them into Pokemon Black Version 2 and Pokemon White Version 2. Hard-to-find Pokemon include the new Therian Formes of Legendary Pokemon Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus.
Nintendo is also gearing up for the launch of the new Pokedex 3D Pro application for Nintendo 3DS, with updated information on over 640 Pokemon, in-depth sorting, comparison and ranking tools, as well as details on what abilities each Pokemon can learn and how it evolves.
Pokemon Black and Pokemon White, which shipped during March 2011 and went on to combine for sales of over 11 million, are the most recent instalments in the core franchise.
