Pocket Station for Chocobo

TOKYO - These pictures are of a minigame featured in FFVIII called Odekake Chocobo RPG. At some point in FF VIII, gamers can play this game with a PocketStation. The main character is Cochocobo, not Chocobo.

The first three pictures here are battle scenes. The digits at the bottom of the screen are (left to right): enemy's HP, enemy's Active Time Battle counts, Cochocobo's ATB counts, Chocobo's HP. The last three are event scenes. In this game, there are certain points where Cochocobo will get items from various characters. In these shots, Cochocobo is getting a present from a cactus guy.

There still isn't much info about the Chocobo game. Perhaps if you train your Cochocobo in Chocobo RPG, this may affect its ability as a Guardian Force in FFVIII.
