PlayStation's First TV Show Premieres, Watch First Episode Right Here
Superhero program "Powers" officially launches; first episode available free for everyone.
It's been a long time coming, but it's finally here. PlayStation's TV show Powers--the company's first-ever scripted original content series--is now available to watch. You can view the 53-minute premiere episode in the video above. It's also available on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 from the PlayStation Store.
The first episode is free for everyone. PlayStation Plus members can watch the entire, ten-episode season for free, while individual episodes will be available for purchase for everyone else.
Powers episodes 1-3 are available now, while subsequent installments will be released on weekly basis every Tuesday until the season finale on April 28.
The show stars District 9's Sharlto Copley and Susan Heyward (The Following), who play homicide detectives investigating cases involving superhuman people known as "Powers." It's based on the comic book series from Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Oeming.
Competitor Microsoft shut down its own original entertainment division, Xbox Entertainment Studios, late last year. However, the Steven Spielberg-produced Halo show is still in the works.
