Sony has announced the lineup of free games PlayStation Plus members on PS4, PS3, and Vita will receive this month. As usual, there is the assortment of six games, three of which are launching on their respective platforms for the first time in October.

On PS4, the most notable game is the bonus one--Driveclub: PlayStation Plus Edition. This is the free version of the game we've been hearing about for more than a year, which consists of a sampling of the full version's content. You'll get access to online and offline modes, but are restricted to 10 cars and one country's events.

Along with this, Plus members on PS4 get Dust: An Elysian Tail and the immensely replayable Spelunky. Both of these games make their debut on PS4 in October, and, in the case of Spelunky, you'll get Cross-Buy support with the PS3 and Vita versions.

PS3 owners get two older, high-quality games. There's Batman: Arkham Asylum, the first game in the Arkham series, and Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara, the downloadable collection of classic D&D games Tower of Doom and Shadow Over Mystara.

Finally, there are Vita's two games: Rainbow Moon (available on PS3, too) and Pix the Cat, the latter of which launches for the first time in October and will also be available on PS4.

Unfortunately, because October begins today, on a Wednesday, you'll need to wait until next Tuesday, October 7, before these games go free.
