All issues now resolved.
[UPDATE] According to the PlayStation Network status page, all issues have been resolved.
The original story is below.
The PlayStation Network is currently facing connectivity issues causing headaches for some PlayStation 4 users. Just minutes ago, the "Ask PlayStation" Twitter account made the issues known, as you can see.

The PlayStation Network status page, meanwhile, reveals that the issues are related to launching games, applications, and/or social features such as trophies, messaging, or your friends list. Other services such as PlayStation Now, PlayStation Vue, and the PlayStation Store itself are unaffected.
"We appreciate your patience while we address this," Sony wrote.
GameSpot will continue to monitor the PSN's status throughout the day and update this post with new information as it becomes available.
Currently, the PSN problems appear to be limited to the PS4, not affecting other platforms like the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita.
