Nintendo and The Pokemon Company are teaming up to combine two of its most iconic characters: Mario and Pikachu. The resulting crossover character is an adorable little thing called, yup, you guessed it, "Mario Pikachu."

From October 29, Pokemon's beloved electric mouse will be available wearing Mario's red and blue outfit as a plushie at the Pokemon Center in Tokyo, Japan. There's also playing cards, keychains, notebooks, a t-shirt, and a Nintendo 3DS case with the character adorned on them. For fans of Mario's oft-forgotten brother, Luigi, there's versions of Pikachu wearing the green outfit too, so you're covered.

If it's Pokemon video games you're after, Pokemon Sun and Moon are scheduled to come out on November 18 for Nintendo 3DS. A demo for Pokemon Moon was made available on October 18 and players are able to use Greninja in it. It's possible to transform the Greninja into Ash-Greninja and then transfer him into the full game when it's available.

In other Nintendo news, the company's next gaming platform was revealed on October 20 and is called Switch. It's a console and handheld hybrid device, that features a tablet-like screen and a controller with detachable parts.
