Online services for Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 will be "terminated" on August 25, the company has announced. The shutdown takes place that day at 9 AM PST / 12 PM EST. You will want to use up all of your myClub coins and GP before then.

"Please note that all of your myClub coins or GP within the game will be invalidated at the same time as the termination of Online service," Konami said. "If you still have left myClub coins or GP, please spend them until the termination of Online service."

Also in its statement, Konami thanked fans for their continued support of the PES series.

It is not uncommon for servers for older games to close down as a developer focuses on newer titles with more active user bases.

The next PES game is this year's PES 2017, which Konami claims will reach "new heights" for visuals and gameplay.

Like past entries in the series, PES 2017 runs on Konami's Fox Engine, which also powered Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

PES 2017 launches this fall for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. For more, check out GameSpot's recent preview, "PES 2017 Seeks to Become the Most Realistic Soccer Game Ever."
