PES 2014 Data Pack 2 to update team rosters

Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 Data Pack 2 will hit later this month; it will include a roster update, gameplay tweaks, and new competition mode features.

Konami has confirmed details for its upcoming Data Pack 2 for Pro Evolution Soccer 2014. The free pack will include updated team rosters, 11 vs. 11 mode, and additional Competition Mode features.

Data Pack 2 will bring all team rosters up to date, with team changes to reflect all player transfers. Over 800 new faces will also be part of the pack, upgrading the appearance of players such as Manchester United's Da Silva twins, Boca Juniors' Riquelme, Real Madrid's Isco, and England's Jack Wilshere.

In response to feedback from the PES community, 11 vs. 11 mode will also be implemented as part of Data Pack 2. Online competitions and master league online competitions will be added to the game's Competition Mode. A Team Play lobby system will also be incorporated.

Fans can also expect changes to the chat format, and gameplay tweaks, which Konami did not specify.

The Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 Data Pack 2 will be available to download "later this month".

It's a good game but was definitely not a finished product. Hell, the African players are not even black, they're white guys with a tan. I have PES 13 and this and FIFA 14 but can't decide which I like best. They all have their good and bad points. I think with some more game tweaks this will be my favorite.

I wonder what the gameplay tweaks are. I find it a little too hard on normal, but way too easy on the next difficulty down. Doesn't seem too balanced to me, I don't mind a challenge at all, but I don't get the steep difference in difficulties.

Looks nothing like Stuart Downing... also Downing scoring 2 goals is unrealistic.

What I wouldn't give to have a decent football game...

They really need to change Riquelme appearance. And Boca Juniros is a overrated team, just like Manchester United, Arsenal, Milan and Juventus.

@HalcyonScarlet I play on  pro and it's usually just right for my skills but once in awhile the AI goes all superstar on me and kicks my arse, even when playing against the same team that I just beat the game before.

Hopefully the game tweaks concern the corner kicks and fighting for shots in the penalty area- there are no fights, jostling of any kind, the players just wait for the ball to arrive, and there are never any diving headers. Only once, and that was Rooney chesting the ball in and then decides to dive head it after it bounced off his chest. Lame.

@DARKKNIGHTPRABZ I think I jumped the gun when I bought this. I think I bought it on Pro Evo reputation alone. Still, i'll get to try out Fifa 14 on the Xbox One when I get it.

@arqe im guessing your not a huge footie fan.

Footie fans will play whatever we can , theres only two on the market. And both do things better and worse from each other.

@arqe Considering that this years version is actually on a par with FIFA 14 then yea, alot of people have been trying it out.  It still needs some refinement but they're using a brand new match engine.  Problem with FIFA 14 is that they care about the money and and have sat on their laurels for too long with only doing mediocre annual updates.  If Konami can make the same improvement next year as they have this year then FIFA is going to be struggling unless they do the same, but a phrase comes to mind with FIFA, "cash cow".. another words EA will milk it for as much as they can do before doing a full blown upgrade.

@DARKKNIGHTPRABZ @arqe dude i live in Turkey , if you are "boy" there is no way you can hide from the ball. I play Fifa and played Pes since2009 but last 4 years was horrible.

Just so you know, this year's fifa was made to be played on the next gen consoles and not a 360 or PS4. Youll be surprised when you play it on a next gen console

@arqe @DARKKNIGHTPRABZ Same... PES really dropped the ball around the time fifa 08 came out. Sadly I jumped ship to Fifa and never looked back... Unfortunately this year's fifa is an absolute joke, so I'm left playing no football game. Guess that's what happens when the market is only populated by 2 developers and neither make the improvements you're expecting.
