Gamers hoping to rob a bank, break out of jail, and steal a car in Overkill Software's Payday: The Heist are going to have to wait a bit longer to do so. The developer has announced that the game's PlayStation Network and PC debut has been pushed from today to "later this month."

Say hey Payday delay.
Say hey Payday delay.

According to an update on Overkill Software's website, the developer held fast to the hope it would ship Payday: The Heist on time, but that reality has slipped away. The developer said the $20 game is "literally done" and is now being reviewed for final certification.

A squad-based first-person shooter, Payday: The Heist lets gamers don their patriotic insane clown masks and engage in bank robberies, jailbreaks, and carjackings. The game was also the promised freebie for players who purchased all four of the games in Sony's PSN Play promotion in August and September.
