Pay what you want for Sega games like Alpha Protocol and Company of Heroes

Pay more than $5.99 and you'll get Medieval II: Total War and Binary Domain as part of week-long Sega Humble Bundle.

This week's Humble Weekly Sale is tailored around Sega titles, allowing users to pay what they want for a suite of games old and new. Pay $1 or more and you'll get Obsidian Entertainment's role-playing game Alpha Protocol, strategy games Company of Heroes and Rome: Total War, and platformer Hell Yeah!: Wrath of the Dead Rabbit.

If you pay more than $5.99 you'll receive arcade collection 10 Classic SEGA Genesis Games, strategy game Medieval II: Total War, zombie typing game The Typing of the Dead: Overkill, shooter Binary Domain, and commando game Renegade Ops.

Finally, pay more than $14.99 and you'll unlock Total War: Shogun 2. Sega says if you bought all the games separately you'd have to spend more than $150. All the Sega Humble Bundle games are available on Steam for Windows only. System requirement details for every game is available on this special Humble Bundle page.

If you're new to Humble Bundle sales, it works like this. You get to choose where your money ends up. You can give to Sega and/or charities like the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Special Effect, GamesAid, Whale & Dolphin Conservation, and Willow Foundation.

At press time, more than 72,500 bundles have been sold, with an average purchase price of $6.09. The sale ends March 20.

I own all these on STEAM. Company of heroes, Rome total war, Shogun total War, all amazing games. These are the type of games, that you could play 20 years from now.

Ahh, I misunderstood and thought this promotion was available through Steam, but they just meant the individual games.  Doh!  Might still add them to my collection.

Pass.  I want Shogun 2 and Typing of the Dead, but I already have Binary Domain and the others don't interest me.

I paid $6 for typing of the dead. I wanted to try it but never felt like spending $20 on it.

I recommend this to everyone.. COH is one of the best RTS of all time and Rome is one of the best Total War games.

Alpha Protocol was very disappointing to me.....terrible game, I should have saved my money or got something else.  I have played most, again, most of the COH(the first two), saving the last one for lean times.  COH are very good games.

A penny is too much for Alpha Protocol. Worst game of this gen.

They should remake Alpha Protocol. The RPG half of the game was really good, with interesting dialogues and branching decisions. The Shooter half was horrible.

Funny that I'll buy a bundle for only 2 of those games. The Genesis Collection and House of the Dead. I might give Alpha Protocol a try, but likely the rest will either be given to friends or will never get played. Binary Domain was free for PS+ members recently and I'm not all that interested in keeping it for long term so having it for PC doesn't really matter to me.

Loved the story and choices you could make in Alpha Protocol, and the characters. To me it more than made up for the lackluster gameplay. Roleplay game done right in the roleplaying sense.

Company of Heroes and Total War belong to SEGA ????!!!! Guess I should have been more vigilant.

No wonder the RTS genre has lost its lustre. I kept looking for a reason COH 2 and Total War 2 were so incomplete. Now I know. What does a freaking japanese publisher know about RTS games or PC gaming for that matter ?

Alpha protocol is one of the most underrated game ever created , the precursor of deus ex human revoution in therm of gameplay mechanics , hacks and great story with multyple branch options!

Good collection of games. Why can't humble bundle do console games bundle?

@stage4saiyan

Seriously? Alpha Protocol was the worst game of anything? You're either very bad at playing games, or you just like to exagerate something you've heard from someone who actually played the game. How about stop pretending to be such a gaming snob, and stop yelling for attention. Alpha Protocol wasn't a bad game, it wasn't completely broken, it was just disappointing from what everyone expected it to be. It was supposed to be a tactical espionage rpg, playing a cool modern type of spy, having choices that affect the story in meaningful way (and that actually works better than in Mass Effect), but the gameplay mechanics, shallow AI (not awful), and some design choices were the ones to drag the game down. The voice actors were tremendous, the story was interesting, with reasons to replay, and some parts of the game really shine. Unfortunately, it just seemed like a rushed game. You know, like Watch Dogs would of turned out if Ubisoft listened to pretentious people like you. I could give you hundreds of other examples that are worse than this game, but I'll just name one: Ride to Hell Retribution.

@Gegglington  It's pay what you want for the first 4 games. Anything about 5.99 you get the rest.

@ramyland The saddest thing to happen to AP is that that they kept changing their minds on what type of game it was going to be, it started out as a stealth game much like the original MGS and Deus Ex games, but then they wanted it more action-y, then they wanted it more RPG-y, then decided to just combine all those features, I think they were trying to go in too many directions at once.

I personally enjoyed playing it but it would have been much better w/ how they originally envisioned it.

Saidrex
Saidrex

@ramyland shooting broken, AI broken, stealth broken. Only thing this game has - interesting characters, well written dialogue and great story. It had huge potential, but Obsidian f*cked it up.

I would be pleased to see any of the consoles get a Humble Bundle and I would wager that people on all ends have talked about it. It's a lot easier to figure out licensing and rights for a PC build than for a console game.

Saidrex
Saidrex

@gamerno66666 because sony and microsoft holds publishing rights of their console games and they both are money hungry as**oles.

Saidrex

@ztype85 @Gegglington not really, 1$ to get first 4 games. It's just you can pay more, much more for bundle and help charity

@Saidrex @ramyland each with his tastes ! I played some of the worst games ever created, of which many have not heard of : you are empty , scorpion disfigured , alcatraz , revolution... etc !

@ramyland looks like you like trash games, no wonder you like Alpha protocol too

ramyland

@gamerno66666 @faizanhd that game was deserving of a 6 note  it was a fun arcade game in a bad retro feeling !

ramyland
ramyland

@Saidrex that is  your opinion , mine difers from yours i i enjoyed the "broken shooting " ...only the boss fights where game breakers in terms of gaming experience for me !

Saidrex
Saidrex

@ramyland @Saidrex bugs? Shooting mechanics were broken not because of bugs, it was intentional, to make "more realistic". What could be more realistic than professional, trained and experienced agent shooting unsuspecting enemy in the head almost point blank and missing all 5 shots.
