Hong Kong-based mobile game development company Animoca Brands announced on Tuesday that it had reached an agreement to license the name and likeness of celebrity Paris Hilton for use in a new mobile title based on the "socialite, singer, model, actress, and entrepreneur."

Animoca Brands CEO Robby Yung said Hilton is one of the "world's most recognized names."

"With Paris' eye for what's hot in the latest trends, and our experience at making popular mobile games, we are confident that consumers around the world will be receptive to Paris Hilton mobile games and themes," he explained.

This isn't Hilton's first video game. She also starred in 2006's Paris Hilton's Diamond Quest from Gameloft. GameSpot reported at the time that Hilton showed up 90 minutes late to an E3 autograph signing for the game, which she incorrectly called Paris Hilton's Jewel Jam.

Animoca Brands says it will take a "phased" approach to development on the game, building branded items for purchase first before making a full game. It's unclear what genre the game will be. Animoca Brands has also created games based on popular franchises such as Ben 10 and Garfield.

Other celebrities with their own video games, or plans to make their own games, include Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, and Katy Perry, among others.
