Paraguayan Pirates Pay for Pilfering Products

Counterfeit Nintendo products get seized and destroyed in Paraguay.

Comments

Customs officials in Paraguay today said that they completed a series of raids, seizing thousands of counterfeit Nintendo video games and components. This included a 40-foot shipping container filled with about 5,000 systems that looked like the Nintendo 64's but were actually pirated versions of the NES hardware with multiple games preprogrammed into them.

So far, the street value of these goods would be nearly US$400,000.
