Pandora Tomorrow bug fix here today

Ubisoft releases the remedy to its stealthy sequel's multiplayer issues on Xbox Live.

This morning, Ubisoft and Microsoft released the auto-update fixing the Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow online multiplayer bug. The auto-update addresses an issue with the optimatch mode of the Tom Clancy-inspired stealth game, which caused the game to freeze and forced players to restart their consoles.

Pandora Tomorrow players wishing to download the auto-update have to do only one thing: connect to Xbox Live. Their consoles will then update themselves automatically. In a press release, Ubisoft promised that "the updated game will no longer freeze when displaying optimatch or quickmatch results."

Ubisoft also stressed that for expediency's sake, the auto-update's fixes are narrow in scope. "In the interest of delivering a speedy solution, we had to focus solely on the optimatch problem, which meant that we couldn't address any of the other issues raised by various Xbox forums." However, Ubisoft said another, more-comprehensive auto-update in is the works and urged gamers to "be patient."
