DreamCatcher Games has today announced that it's accepting applications for the upcoming multiplayer beta test of the PC version of Painkiller. Around 200 players aged 18 or over are required for the test, which is expected to commence in mid-October. Anyone interested in participating should register at the official DreamCatcher Games Web site.

Currently scheduled for release on the PC in January 2004 with an Xbox version to follow, Painkiller is an over-the-top first-person shooter in which players become embroiled in a war between heaven and hell. For more information, check out our previous coverage of the game.
