Hello, friend! The OzSpot this week is all about assessing the current industry landscape, from keeping up creativity in a market that keeps asking for the next generation of consoles to Nintendo's problems in the casual space.
Plus: is there really no other game that can compare to Borderlands 2?
Why is this not on the first page? Even knowing the show is here and wanting to see it it's a pain. The search gives you several shows ,some recent, some from years ago. You shouldn't make your show hard to find...
If I can add one more comment, I don't really have a handheld console but it's worth having at least one so you don't have to worry about having nothing to do. I remember an add showing a kid owning a computer and it blasts out of the bus while another kid holds on to a handheld and it's pretty funny. So if I get the chance, I might be able to enjoy handheld games for a long time. That's just my opinion. After all, handhelds might have a longer future than this current console generation in terms of compatibility and fun.
As far as Wii u is concerned, I do rightly believe because of Ipods, Iphones and perhaps any handheld devices that comes along at this period, I guess Nintendo got the balance right with the Wii U with the tablet and the fact the hardware looks small but powerful instead of the usual Microsoft, Sony idea of more buttons and bigger hardware. Also perhaps the gap to fill since there aren't a lot of real time strategy games that are successful on consoles. So I believe Nintendo will succeed in getting people of all ages to be able to play the new console without any discomfort or price difficulty. As the saying goes, you can't do the same thing twice unless you're able to put a new spin to the old idea that can go stale overtime.
