Overwatch's first post-launch character is now available for play on PC as part of a big patch that makes substantial balance changes to the shooter.

Ana was revealed earlier in July and was soon after released on public test servers on PC. She's a Support character with a long-range rifle that can be used to heal allies or damage foes.

Today's update does much more than just add her to the mix. It tweaks numerous characters, giving D.Va a new way to use her shield and improving her Ultimate; buffing Zenyatta; and making adjustments to Mercy, McCree, and others. You can get an overview of all these changes from our coverage of when the patch went live on test servers earlier this month.

The full patch notes are available here.

There's still no word on when this update will arrive on Xbox One or PS4, but we'll keep you apprised as Blizzard makes any announcements.

PC players may run into technical issues when logging in to play today. Blizzard reports there are connectivity problems and lag occurring, and it hasn't yet offered an estimate for when any of this will be resolved.
