Oni Programmer Departs

Bungie's anime-inspired action-adventure title loses lead programmer.

Comments

Bungie's upcoming anime-inspired action-adventure game, Oni, is still in development for a late-April 2000 release and it appears that the game's lead programmer, Brent Pease, has decided to leave Bungie. Apparently, most of the essential programming has already been completed, so the departure shouldn't impact the game's development. From all reports, his parting was amicable and a Bungie spokesperson says that Pease's departure will have little effect on the game's shipping date.

In his place, senior programmer Michael Evans will manage the rest of the game's coding.
