Official UK game sales chart

Command & Conquer: Generals debuts in the second position on the UK chart, right behind The Sims.

Command & Conquer: Generals did what was expected of it this week, debuting as the highest new entry in ELSPA's official UK game sales chart. What was a little surprising is that the PS2 version of The Sims retained the number-one position ahead of it, albeit with a little help from the original PC version this time around. This week's other new entry was Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, which came straight in at number three and relegated the likes of The Getaway and GTA: Vice City to unfamiliar territory in the process.

A little further down the chart, both Caesar III and Max Payne managed to find their way back into the top 20 thanks to recent budget releases, while The Sims Deluxe and The Sims: Unleashed saw their long runs in the chart come to an end.
