Hudson has opened an official site for its Tengai Makyou series today. Only the index and news pages are available at the moment, but the site is scheduled to have sections for developer's notes, downloads, and a radio show. The series is known as Far East of Eden in North America.
The first game in the Tengai Makyou trilogy was released on the PC Engine in 1989. Its sequel was released on the same platform in 1992, but the third and last title was indefinitely postponed soon after. The series will be coming back, beginning with a rerelease of Tengai Makyou 2 on the Sony PlayStation 2 on October 2 and Nintendo GameCube on September 25 in Japan. Tengai Makyou 3 will then be released on the two platforms in 2004. The first game in the Tengai Makyou series is not scheduled for rerelease, since its developer, Red Entertainment (formerly Red Company), no longer has the data for the original game.
