Oculus said in a blog post that it is currently working with "thousands" of developers and there will be more than 100 games available for Rift before the end of the year.

The Facebook-owned company also today showcased the Rift version Oculus Home. This destination, already available for Gear VR, serves as something of a hub where you can find new games and sync up with friends in virtual reality. It will also be available through the Oculus desktop app.

Additionally, Oculus said it plans to "rapidly" evolve the overall Rift platform on a monthly basis, not unlike how Microsoft pushes out new Xbox One updates on a monthly schedule.

Finally, Oculus teased that it will share more details on the non-gaming launch apps for Rift in the days ahead. These will include apps, videos, and "experiences," though none were named.

By comparison, Sony has not yet divulged the launch lineup for PlayStation VR, while HTC also has not yet disclosed what games will be available for HTC Vive at launch in April.

Rift launches on March 28 for people who were able to secure an early preorder. Preorders also come with free copies of Eve: Valkyrie and Lucky's Tale. You can still preorder the $600 device (which also requires a PC in the $1,000 range) but units are now not shipping until July 2016.
