NTN Communications today reported increased revenues in the Online/Internet division. Online/Internet Revenues experienced a robust 40 percent jump, with US$627,000 reported for the second quarter of 1997, compared to $449,000 for the same period last year.

The company's online entertainment products recently captured a third consecutive America Online Members Choice award as one of the top 50 most popular programming sites on AOL.

In spite of the jump in revenues, NTN reported a net loss of approximately $2.2 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 1997, compared to a net gain of $650,000 in the prior year's second quarter.

The company also reported that the negotiations are continuing between itself and Gtech, a leading lottery and gaming supplier, regarding a planned merger.
