North Korea’s Kim Jong-Un and Dennis Rodman join forces in Glorious Leader!

North Korea’s supreme leader and former Chicago Bulls player to star in a side-scrolling run and gun.

North Korea’s supreme leader Kim Jong-un will star in his own video game called Glorious Leader!

American independent entertainment and gaming company Moneyhorse Games says Glorious Leader! is an epic tale that that will let you play Kim Jong-un as he takes on the entire American army in a retro-style side-scrolling run and gun reminiscent of Contra.

And just like Contra featured the deadly duo of Bill "Mad Dog" Rizer and Lance "Scorpion" Bean, Glorious Leader! pairs Kim Jong-un with his buddy, former Chicago Bulls player Dennis “The Worm” Rodman.

Moneyhorse Games CEO Jeff Miller told The Guardian in an interview the game hopes to "carefully walk the line of satire without being an apologist for the regime."

Glorious Leader! will release on PC and mobile devices “soon.”

Being the North Korean dictator is basically the publisher of this game, there's not a chance in hell I'd buy it. Obviously a lot of people here don't have any morals or principles because they can't wait to play it. All this game is good for is to wipe my @ss with.

I think this game is what they really wanted to do with the Homefront game, but they just couldn't get Dennis Rodman and the leader of North Korea onboard.  :)

However, I expect this to be a good prequel to the Homefront game, probably as good of quality as well.

How did this developer get the rights to use the likeness of Dennis Rodman, and even more oddly the leader of North Korea?  Seems like that would cost a heavy bundle, and that's if the contacts with these guys could even be made.  Hard to imagine how an indie can work the economics of this deal, I wonder if the lawsuits will start to be filed.

Wow I just love retro graphics like this, totally worth my money in 2014! It really shows that this is an industry of innovation and forward-thinking developers, not just a cash cow being milked for every last drop of nostalgia. So awesome. Everyone who pays for this are really cool people.

This will surely be a cheap, bad game used to make a quick buck off novelty alone.

@bluefox755 You should keep reading whatever material you were reading, North Korea gets even funnier with the more you learn (and sadder too...)

@notorious98 They don't really produce things over there, and when they do they don't trade with foreigners.  There might already be tons of adventure games featuring the leader of North Korea, we just don't know about them :)

@WolfgarTheQuiet @mr_fantastic54  This is insulting and disgusting. There is something funny about conspiracy theories and the perceived evil of the capitalism, but using that to say that North Korean regime is "not that bad" is ignorant and ... well atrocious. Since you are clearly very uneducated on the topic - you should read up on it. Don't read American press, since you seem to be in anti-west camp. Read Al-Jazeera or even Russia Today.

NK government holds dozens of millions of people in concentration labor camps on political grounds, has an extermination program for newborns showing any disabilities or deviations from norm and their death by firing squad "program" is enacted upon thousands of people. Talk all you want about US World Bank, rigged elections and war profiteering (which all take place no doubt) but that's nothing to the Stalinist/Hitlerist state of NK.

mr_fantastic54
mr_fantastic54

@WolfgarTheQuiet don't talk such rot the US world bank has not had people killed by firing squad for differences of opinion

spacecadet25
spacecadet25

@mr_fantastic54 @youre_a_sheep  Good point, mr_fantastic54, there are many people in the US that think absolutely nothing about making horrendous insults to the president of the US, whether to his face or in the press.  That doesn't happen in brutal dictatorships, to even whisper dissent could mean death or misery to the speaker and his or her entire family.

mr_fantastic54
mr_fantastic54

@youre_a_sheep there are people in America spouting hate about its own country and they don't end up dead, in NK u make 1 bad remark you moan once publicly and your taken away and shot killed, America isn't perfect but compared to NK its a freaking paradise

YoZbaNaToR
YoZbaNaToR

@mr_fantastic54 I beg to differ. The US World Banks have been the financial spearhead of the U.S Military's conquests throughout the Middle East. I'm sure you know how many casualties have fell and how many countries left in ruins for the interests of these bourgeois one percent. I'm not defending Kim, but compared to the real bad guys: There's no comparison.
