Nokia has today released the first information on Ashen, which was first announced alongside a number of other N-Gage titles earlier this month. The game is described as a 3D gothic horror-themed first-person shooter, and will it feature deathmatch support for up to four players in addition to a single-player game.

"Ashen will capture mobile gamers with its impressive gameplay and unique features," said Pasi Pölönen, director of the game publishing, entertainment, and media business unit at Nokia. "With a compelling storyline, fast-paced action, and unique features, Ashen will inspire gamers to fight against an amazing range of enemies and to explore and rescue the citizens of Seven River City."

As they explore the eight single-player maps that make up Seven River City, players will encounter eight different types of enemy--some of which are invisible and will have to be located using the game's ghost vision mode. Weapons available to players will include dual pistols, a Gatling gun, a sniper rifle, and an alien assault gun.

We'll bring you more information on Ashen, which is currently in development at Australia-based Torus Games, as soon as it becomes available.
