No plans for Max Payne 3 demo

Rockstar Games not keen on offering prerelease trial period for upcoming third-person action shooter.

Gamers won't get to try out Max Payne 3 before its release next month, as developer Rockstar Games has said it has no plans to offer a demo for the upcoming third-person action shooter.

Don't expect a demo for Max Payne 3, says Rockstar.

Responding to a query on Twitter, the official Rockstar Games account simply stated: "There are no plans for a demo of Max Payne 3."

Max Payne 3 is slated to arrive for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in North America on May 15, with a European release slated for May 18. A PC version will follow on May 29 in North America and on June 1 in Europe.

"There are no plans for a demo of Max Payne 3."And therefore, there are no plans for me to buy the game.  No demo for me, no money for you.I can understand why they can't release a demo for their FPS Grand Theft Auto series.  However, they had a demo for their original Max Payne, no reason they can't have one for this one - ESPECIALLY since they're touting their un-proven multiplayer mode.  Why couldn't we have a one or two map multiplayer-only demo?Don't get me wrong, MP 1 & 2 were great, but given the un-proven quality of the multiplayer, it's difficult to blindly purchase such a game even in a well loved franchise, without a demo.
