Vivendi Universal Publishing and Fox Interactive have announced a copublishing agreement that features several upcoming PC games, including Aliens Versus Predator 2, Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza, and No One Lives Forever: The Sequel. The games will be copublished under Vivendi's Sierra Studios brand. Fox Interactive announced in January its intention to seek copublishing agreements with other major publishers rather than publish its games in-house.
No information about the sequel to No One Lives Forever was revealed beyond the fact that Vivendi was granted the rights to publish the game on several platforms, including the PC. Aliens Versus Predator 2, the sequel to the 1999 sci-fi action game based on the Aliens and Predator films, is in development at Monolith Productions, and it is scheduled for release later this year. Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza is in development at Piranha Games. It will be based on the original Die Hard movie. Players will assume the role of John McClane, and they must fight and sneak their way through 40 floors of office space filled with terrorists, hostages, and civilians. No release date for the game has been announced.
