In January this year, International Data Group, the trade-show company which also owns Macworld, renamed the GamePro Expo the Entertainment for All Expo, or E for All. New details about the event, which will take place in the fourth quarter of this year, have now been confirmed, with Nintendo as the "anchor exhibitor" and other, as yet unnamed, gaming companies also apparently signing on.
Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing, George Harrison, said the two shared a similar strategy in that "the E for All Expo supports Nintendo's mission to reach as many types of consumers as possible to expand the world of video games to new audiences."
Don James, Nintendo's US executive vice president of operations, will also be serving on the event's Exhibitor Advisory Board.
The event will let visitors test-drive the latest games and gadgets and buy goods at on-site retail facilities, and it will also feature "high-profile" game tournaments, a job fair, networking opportunities, and a Video Games Live concert.
E for All will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, along with the currently expanding LA Live/Nokia Theatre area directly adjacent, between October 18 and 21.
