If you're going to be staying at the Renaissance New York Hotel Times Square on business, you might need to have someone come get you when it's time to leave for your meetings.

That's because the hotel, and several others in the Marriott chain, will now be featuring Nintendo Wiis in their rooms, along with a selection of 20 games. Mass meeting delinquency is sure to follow.

According to a press release from Nintendo on Tuesday, the Times Square hotel, along with Marriotts in five cities around the country, are going to begin stocking hotel rooms, or the lounge in one case, with specially outfitted Wiis and games such as Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy, and others.

And in case you're wondering whether you have to pay by the hour, Nintendo said that guests would be able to purchase an all-you-can-eat package that would allow them to play all they want.

Further, the games will be preloaded and therefore will not require mucking about with game discs. Instead, just point your Wii Remote at the TV and voila, Wii Fit will pop up for your enjoyment.

No word yet on how many hotel TVs will have to be replaced when guests throw the Wii Remote through the screen while playing the tennis game in Wii Sports, or whether such guests will be on the hook for the replacement costs.

A full list of participating hotels is as follows:

New York Marriott Marquis
Renaissance New York Hotel Times Square
Boston Marriott Cambridge
Bethesda (Md.) Marriott Suites
Annapolis (Md.) Marriott Waterfront
JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, Phoenix (Lounge only)

That seems cool. It looks like Nintendo is surely making up for the Gamecube...

That seems cool, but I'll never be at one of those hotels...

That's nice to hear. However, why would I want to stay in the hotel playing with the Wii when there is so much to see.

This is a great idea, and it will no doubt help boost Nintendo's sales, especially if more and more hotels begin to do this.

I suppose they did this because: A. More kids come with their dumb parents and whine because they don't have their Wii B. Cheapest system out there and wanted to entertain their guests.

parents will be stupid enough to pay for this too. what is the world coming too? ohh yeah. economy's down. all buisness needs quick cash. "mommy, mommy! I have a wii already but lets go to hotel just to play one anyways and pay for it!" "OK. son/daughter!"

Wii remotes out windows and shattered glass everywhere here we come! Hmmmm! It would be kinda odd walking into your room and seeing a Wii sitting right there in front of your television. And it would be kinda funny actually to be walking down a hallway to go downstairs to breakfast and just hearing people playing their Wiis from inside their rooms. Man I wonder how many people will buy Wiis after staying there for only a day? I would expect a lot of noise from those other rooms... Sleepless nights ugh.

I wish i could store my games on the Wii :(

could this possibly be the expanded HDD for the Wii rumor slowly coming true in a indirect way? because if they are going to have preloaded games it must defiantly mean something.

This is pretty neat. I'll have to start paying attention to what hotels I stay in and look for this promotion.

Sweet idea? I remember the GCs in some Hyatts (?) but it they took over 10 minutes to open up one game.

I will sit back and wait for the footage of the reporter combing the room with the uv light to come across the wiimote.

Not A very big hotel deal it is.. (States only..) It would be A nice one if they would make "wii-point's" on world-wide airports.. (building wii-boards into softfloors on regular current with customised adapters) & 2~4 wii-motes+ nun-chcuks on wires..) Might be A far better idea..

Wow....I didn't think it would be this soon! But that's not the only business places to get the Wii.......alot of Nursing homes and retirement homes have had them for quite some time. Setting up Wii bowling leagues n' such for the old folks. Makes for excellent recreational fun for the older generations, and seeing their faces when they get that first strike....priceless!

I remember staying at the Marriott before. The beds are the best I've ever slept in; I didn't want to get out of bed an hour after I woke up, and I would've if it wasn't for me narrowly missing my flight. Good thing they have this so that they can get people out of those $1M sea-deep-in-linen beds with this idea, but how are they going to keep track of the Wiimotes and Nunchucks?

Looks like this will use that weird pre-loaded game boot method too. What IS that, that the Wii can read all those ISO's from? Obviously some form of HDD but why isn't it being made more commercial?

It's a good idea, because Wii's are so great for pick-up and play games...

Yes, that's what I go on vacation for. Stay all day in a hotel playing Nintendo Wii. Seriously cheaper just to buy a used one on ebay and bring it with you.
