Nintendo releases fix for game-breaking Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze 3-3 bug

Game-breaking bug probably wasn't the Tropical Freeze Nintendo had in mind.

Nintendo has released a fix for a game-breaking Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze bug.

The rare issue would sometimes kick in after completing level 3-3, Frantic Fields, and would not open the path to level 3-4, making it impossible to progress further in Nintendo's latest platformer.

The fix can be downloaded by starting the game while your Wii U is connected to the Internet. If the correct update is successfully applied, the game version will be 1.1.0.

Affected by the bug already? Applying the update will now allow you to continue.

Cue random Nintendo hatred.

It is just me or Nintendo is the one that has the most game-breaking glitches? Look at the both Zelda Wii games, both had game-breaking glitches. Do they even play/beat the game before selling it?

Sad day for those without console internet access

I wonder what would trigger this. I'm nearly to the end of Tropical Freeze and haven't encountered any issues. Good that they're fixing the bug....unlike some developers that don't fix game breaking issues and focus on DLC instead.

Nintendo bugs are more and more prevelant.

@zzamaro  If anything they've had the least. The few they've had have all been admittedly recent, but I can count those few on one hand.

Um...it's those games and that's it. They have a pretty good track record actually.

Pokemon X Y had a bad one too: If you saved in the main city it could destroy your game save

@YearoftheSnake5  I beat it, and then beat it again on hard mode with no problem. Had no idea this problem existed. At least they fixed it.

@Ripper_TV  That's probably only because of their track record. For the longest time they didn't have any (notable) bugs, so when they do have them, it stands out. But hey, at least they rectify them.
