Nintendo recalling Japanese DS chargers

Company says overheating, burns possible with 200,000 AC/DC adaptors; problematic handheld chargers released only in Japan.

Wimpy Wii Remote straps aren't the only thing Nintendo is having problems with. The company today also announced a recall of 200,000 AC/DC adaptors for its DS handheld, according to Reuters. Nintendo says the affected chargers, manufactured by Nagono Japan Radio and sold in Japan between January and October of this year, are prone to overheating and could burn unwitting gamers. No injuries have yet been reported.
