Nintendo of Canada holds a Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze contest for counting frozen bananas

Probably more than two.

by

Ahead of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze's February 21 release, Nintendo of Canada is holding a chilly, banana-counting contest. If you can guess how many bananas are sitting suspended in the giant block of ice above, you may be able to win a trip to Whistler Blackcomb as well as a copy of Tropical Freeze and a system to play it on.

According to the contest's YouTube page, the grand prize is:

  • An adventure trip for 4 to Whistler Blackcomb in BC, including flights, accommodation, lift tickets, and equipment rentals
  • Private lesson
  • One Wii U system
  • One Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze game
  • One Wii Remote Plus controller and one Nunchuk controller

There will also be five secondary prices each consisting of:

  • One Wii U
  • One Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze game
  • One Wii Remote Plus controller and one Nunchuk™ controller

Full rules are listed on the official Nintendo of Canada website. The contest will run until February 20, 2014 at 11:59pm PT.

I saw this the other day but did not notice it was only for Canadians, so unusual.

Cool contest, but DKCTF isn't doing anything to move the series forward so I'll past.

just submitted my guess but there is a note under the pic that says there is an internal wooden structure to support the bananas so who knows how much room that takes

Counting frozen bananas happens to be my forte. But I'm not Canadian, so my talents will be wasted here in the U.S.

@EasyComeEasyGo

You should be saying 1337 instead, since this is a meme that fits your American status more than a DBZ-related meme. :P

In college I majored in banana counting studies, my minor was in banana bread eating.

@chev7781 No you don't say. What gave it away? I love Nintendo games I even bought the WindWaker bundle. I am still gonna make fun of them too. At least I am not a sheep and unoriginal like you.
