Nintendo has provided more details regarding its recently announced partnership with Best Buy that will allow gamers to play some of the Wii U titles it shows off next month at the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo.
The Mario maker today released a list of over 100 North American Best Buy locations that will host the games. Nintendo did not specify which titles will be playable, though the company has previously confirmed Wii U Mario Kart, Smash Bros., and 3D Mario games will be on display at E3 2013.
The Wii U games will be playable at Best Buy locations on June 12 from 4-8 p.m. and June 15 from 1-5 p.m. Nintendo cautioned that participating Best Buy stores are subject to change. The most up-to-date list is available through a special Best Buy landing page.

Part of the CEO's plan to sell as much software as possible to recoup cost for hardware sales. This isn't a promotion. This is an event. Unless they are marking off a certain percentage of the price tag off games and hardware, it isn't a promotion. At least not for the customers.
How is this a promotion? And honestly, in Ohio all of the listed stores are in bufu, no one lives there. Do I get a Wii U for like 200 dollars for deluxe set because if so I'm in otherwise, no shits given.
Virginia Beach!! yesss if smash bros is there me and some friends will check it out only reason id go!
To be honest, those who are quick to sell their items usually have a history of making bad purchase decisions anyway.
Usually during the hype, they might sell their PS3, then repurchase..or sell their xbox, then repurchase.
May not be those items specifically, but similar material..concluding poor money management.
I do not think Nintendo is going to fail....not against Xbone and PS4.

*chorus*
I've been everywhere, man.
I've been everywhere, man.
Crossed the desert's bare, man.
I've breathed the mountain air, man.
Of travel I've had my share, man.
I've been everywhere.
uggh You would think they'd have an event closer to LA or SGV. I mean Culver City!?! that's like one of the most notoriously low rated bestbuys in cali. Everyone raggs on there service, how could they possibly get on the list over Pasadena or Duartes best buy.
The general public already has Wii U demos to play and they don't care. Does Nintendo think it's gonna make a difference by just switching up the games in the kiosks for 2 days? They should worry about keeping the customers they already have at this point.
Fort Smith Arkansas... Nintendo you missed NW Arkansas the part that isn't stuck in depression...
Interesting...I had no idea that Nintendo has a partnership with Best Buy.
I see my local Best Buy on the list, so I may check this out.
I will definitely be carrying a little bottle of hand sanitizer with me. Those controllers can get quite grimy.
A shame that none of the locations are closer to me. The closest to where I live (Culver City, CA) is too far away.
sweet deal
Right now Rayman and Super Mario are the only games you can play on most Wii U demos. They don't even show the system's full potential. Nintendo really dropped the ball on this one (besides a confusing name and no good games yet).
Canada, no idea if this is accurate or just made up but someone posted this list:
http://ca.ign.com/articles/2013/05/29/you-can-play-nintendos-e3-demos-at-these-best-buy-locations#comment-913365564
Nintendo is getting desperate. They know they missed the ball this time. Thats what happens when you live up in the clouds and dont live in reality. I saw this coming ALONG time ago.
So the game company that's in last place is teaming up with a retailer that's in last place?
If Smash Bros ends up being one of those games, I will absolutely just have to drop all my plans that day to go play it.
such a sad joke..
NOA got saved by the M$ blunder
> wii u
Good Fuck Canada...they are up in North North North America...
There's one 45 minutes away from my house!
I may give this a try. Great way to try out their console before making a purchasing decision. Oddly, the Wii U is currently at the top of my list, at least until MS and Sony release more information on their consoles. If the MS rumors end up being true, it will come down to this and the PS4, this may win out by default because I already have an excellent gaming PC.
This is so awesome but none of these are in my state :(
Why do they have two in Tampa but only one in Miami? This is a very odd list of stores
nothing special here. Not driving to the ghetto to play wii u games. Sega did this prior to dreamcast launch at toysRus and sony did this with ps2 at my local mall. This is 6 months late.
Good thing Canada is included:

Well, they should have let people try out the demos from E-shop as well
Will be visiting the best buy near me to play the demos
Yay one out of 4 stores in the Des Moines Area at least.
Here's hoping there are no lines ^^
North America refers to a continent... C'mon! Where the heck is Canada!
so i live in ohio right well the 4 cities they pick are basically towns... Wouldn't it be smart in the cities?
Good. They need this badly. Let's hope it works out in their favor.
@Grenadeh Dude, 98% of Ohio IS bufu
@alastor529
I live in Burbank and I agree. It's about 32 miles from Burbank and at least 45 minutes or more with traffic. If anything, they should have one here in Burbank, and one at the Los Feliz location.
@alastor529 Some of the NC store decisions are equally questionable.
@PupilsDilated That's because they didn't have a partnership until now.
@okassar The demos are of NEW wii u games that will be shown at E3.
@okassar They don't have to worry too much, MS innovating how to drop the ball...
@DarthLod LOL, you are still opening your mouth.
You are a funny one.
@Gargus Last place? Last time I checked Nintendo won last generation in both the home console and portable market. They are also the only ones who made a massive profit. PS3 and 360 failed to do that. Truth hurts.
@Poodger just whip out a N64...its been the same game for how long....
> wii u
@racerxgundam You're delusional kid.
@racerxgundam Ahahahaa someone's jealous of the competition. The Wii U was never competing with the Xbone, PS4 was dumbass.
LOL
Yes all the smart people reside up here. Excluding Alaska of coarse.
@Superzone What state is that?
@horizonwriter yea lets hope sony and xbox one dont have to do the same next year..
Yep the wii sold a lot if consoles to people that wouldn't ordinarily own one. However most if these people never bought more than a couple games. These systems now collect dust in boxes, it's easier to buy a used wii than any other console these days.
@racerxgundam @Poodger > PS4
@Zelda99 South Dakota. I love my home but we always miss out on cool stuff like this because of our smaller population :/
Eden Prairie, Minnesota isn't too far away though....
@KBFloYd @horizonwriter If they fail, it won't be because of lack of interest, it will be because they pissed off their entire fan-base. Having a "play it free" day won't change that.
@Zelda99 @Superzone Haha I appreciate the sympathy. But hey, if I'll get the chance to play the new Smash Bros. and 3D Mario early, the trip would be worth it.
@Superzone Here i am complaning about the hour it'll take to drive to the one in Miami, but you gotta cross state lines. sry to hear that
