First there was Brain Training, and then Sight Training (released as Flash Focus in the US), and now Nintendo wants us to be better at math as well. Professor Kageyama's Maths Training: The Hundred Cell Calculation Method is due for release on the Nintendo DS across Europe on February 8.

Maths Training focuses on basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills.

Like Brain Training, there is a daily test mode with three exercises per day--once five days' worth of exercises have been completed, players move up a level.

The Hundred Cell Calculation Method consists of 100 simple maths problems in a 10-by-10 grid, and users hold the DS like a book to fill it in. There is also a wireless mode, where up to 15 math fiends can link up and compete in a division marathon or calculation sheet challenges.

The game will carry a recommended retail price of £19.99.
