Even with toned-down violence, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for the PlayStation 3 received an M for Mature from the Entertainment Software Rating Board. Those hoping for a more family-friendly installment in the Ninja Gaiden series could have that wish granted later this month.

Zen Studios announced on the official PlayStation blog today that the next downloadable pinball table for its Zen Pinball game will be based on the opening Sky City Tokyo level of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. According to the developer, the table will include features like five multiball game modes and "ball slicing effects."

Released in May to a warm critical reception, Zen Pinball features four tables at the outset. To date, Zen Studios has released only a single downloadable table, the Super Street Fighter II-themed add-on. Zen Studios also has produced Pinball FX for the Xbox 360, as well as iPhone games Zen Pinball: Inferno and Zen Pinball: Rollercoaster.

Where they still received an "M" rating, they should have gone back and added everything they took out to tone it down.

I've been really enjoying Zen Pinball on the PS3, but I wish they'd do another normal theme table rather than advertising/tributes for other games. Perhaps they need the ad revenue? I'd buy them all the same but I'm missing a "space" theme. :(

Zen Pinball is way fun and way underpriced. The SFII table was only like 2 or 3 bucks also which was well worth it. Ill probably keep buying tables if they stay in that price range even if i dont have much interest in the theme. Still would love to see recreations of actual pinball machines somehow like Batman, Terminator 2, Funhouse, Adams Family, etc...

I like Zen Pinball and Pinball FX though I think it's a missed chance that the Zen Studios are quiet lazy in releasing new tables. And no trophies / Achievements with new DLC is a no-go these days.

Nice, I love Zen Pinball! It's great that they keep supporting the game.:D More tables like this will make the game really stand out -- fingers crossed there'll be tables for God of War and such later on!

cool but brendan just because you don't like it as much as williams pinball doesn't mean that you can label it as "warm" critical reception when this own site gave it an 8.5 which its far better than what "warm" seems to imply. OT: cool give me a reason to load it up again.
