Electronic Arts announced today that NFL Street has gone gold. Developed at EA's Tiburon studio, the makers of the popular Madden NFL franchise, the game is rated 'E' for everyone, costs $49.99, and is being released on the Xbox, GameCube, and PlayStation 2.

The football cousin of NBA Street, NFL Street will feature a similar arcade style as the basketball game, with a simplified control scheme and exaggerated graphics. Also borrowed from NBA Street will be the "gamebreaker" mode, which will allow players to build up style points to redeem for an unstoppable offensive blitz.

NFL Street will also sport three game modes: quick game, pickup game, and NFL challenge. The PlayStation 2 edition will feature an online component. If you want a closer look at NFL Street's playbook, check out GameSpot's preview.
