[UPDATE] Microsoft has announced December's games. See them all here.

The original story is below.

The next batch of Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility will be announced "very soon," Xbox boss Phil Spencer said on Twitter today in an exchange with a fan.

Microsoft had apparently previously said the next update to the library would come in mid-December. Given that it's now December 16 and these games have not been announced, fans are understandably asking questions.

Xbox One backwards compatibility support for Xbox 360 titles launched in November as part of the New Xbox One Experience update with 104 games. Microsoft has pledged to release new games to the lineup on a regular basis, though fans are still waiting to learn about the games coming in December.

Some games that are coming to the program but have not yet been released include Halo: Reach, Halo Wars, Skate 3, BioShock, BioShock 2, BioShock Infinite, and Call of Duty: Black Ops.

What games are you hoping to see added to the lineup in December? Let us know in the comments below.
