Next Xbox One Backwards-Compatible Game Arrives

Another game was added to the Xbox One backwards compatibility program today in what has been a busy week for new releases. The latest title to join the lineup is Volition's 2013 open-world game Saints Row IV, which enters the lineup today, Microsoft's Major Nelson announced on Twitter.

Saints Row IV was already ported to Xbox One (and PlayStation 4) through a version of the game called Re-Elected. A standalone game, Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell, was also released on new-generation systems.

Earlier this week, Halo Wars, SoulCalibur II, and The King of Fighters '98 all became backward compatible on Xbox One, while Left 4 Dead 2 and Dead Space were released into the lineup this week as well. Last week also saw two separate sets of additions, headlined by Assassin's Creed and Dark Souls.

Games are not added to the backwards compatibility program on any set schedule, but instead are added whenever they are ready.
