A new gameplay trailer released today confirms that grass-type Pokemon Sceptile has joined the roster for upcoming Wii U fighting game, Pokken Tournament. Take a look at the gameplay video below to see the creature do battle against other iconic Pokemon, including Pikachu and Charizard.

Note, however, that this is a Japanese trailer. We'll add the English version when it's available.

Sceptile is just the latest Pokemon to join the fighting game's roster. Last month, it was confirmed that Shadow Mewtwo had joined the lineup.

First revealed in 2014 for Japanese arcades, Pokken Tournament has since been confirmed to launch on Wii U in 2016. The game is in development at Tekken studio Bandai Namco.

Development on the project is being overseen by veteran producer Katsuhiro Harada, who says the goal for the game is for it to appeal to all Pokemon fans. "Whether you are a causal player, a regular player, or a hardcore player, anyone who likes Pokemon can have fun," Harada said.
